AND THE MADNESS CONTINUES…
Walking kilometers long for a phone call,
Those were the days of history to cherish.
Today with new-fangled instruments in our hand,
Thrash parents saying move on man…
Unfortunately, this series will never end…
May it be hot trend to change mobiles all the time, but this has been possible only because of marketing tactics of mobile industry. If it wouldn’t have been brilliant marketing tactics, mobile industry would have been down with the muck. Carbon Black Nokia 8800’s killing looks are tempting. If I say, money itself get attracted towards today’s trend like I Phone, then I wouldn’t be an inch wrong. Such expensive phones are worth the money as; the assurance about convenience offered by them is incomparable. Gadget comprising of features equivalent to laptop to tough to give a miss.
Everyone has different requirements in their mobile phones to satisfy their desire or needs, depends upon the usability irrespective of durability. Lets face the fact; we look for mobile phones with more features than considering the long lasting factor. Handset used 3-4 years ago is considered an antique piece today. Eg- Nokia 3315 is rarely to be seen today. Many such mobile handsets whose production has been stopped for new launches hold no price value in the market. The fear that IT industry is lacking back in growth might come true in few years.
Navigator, MMS, 5-mega-pixel camera, screen touch operation, Internet, bluetooth, PDA, expandable memory, substitute of pandrive, etc are few of the expansively attractive features anyone would give their heart for. India’s economy is surely improving comparatively at an alarming rate. Don’t be surprised if you stop as expensive cell phone as I Phone or communicator with vegetable vendors or rickshaw walas. In such cases, tagging the year 2000 as ancient era wouldn’t be wrong. So in the year 2000, mobile phones were treated as necessity and today this approach is seen nowhere.
Does this mean we have stopped valuing money and are distracted from serious investment? Is this madness going to take us anywhere beneficially? Is changing mobile phone every month or two is going to help in anyways? What will all this lead us to eventually? All the questions will remain unanswered forever.
