Panasonic plans to launch a 40-inch OLED TVs by the end of 2011- This is something great, Panasonic has announced that it plans to launch OLED TVs of 40-inch by the year 2011. Actually, they have already invested about $930m on the project. It is also been said that it will come up with 20inch and larger OLEDs by next year. The OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode) delivers improved brightness and contrast, along with a faster response, in comparison with the general LCD screens. The OLED also provides wider viewing angles and need lesser energy. Compared to the LCD displays, they are even thinner. The move by Panasonic to manufacture the 40-inch OLED HDTV by the year 2011 will definitely have a positive impact on the OLED market and is going to take it further. OLED screens by Sony and Samsung have already been in the market for a while.

It may be that Samsung has already introduced its 40-inch OLED display in the market but the fact is that Panasonic is aiming at the mass production of the same in order to capture the market better.

Plica phones designer, James Piatt has developed a brilliant handset that can be said to be a combination of the Nintendo DS gaming console and the revolutionary Apple iPhone. It is believed that the making of the Plica Phone has been inspired by the DS’s dual screen display and iPhone’s touch screen interface. Besides these unique functions, Plica Phones would also enable its users to use one of the two screens as a touch screen keyboard and the other can be used as a touch monitor. If, in case users wish to view a single webpage or image across both the screens then they can also do that. And guess what? You can also use it as a mini laptop by folding the screen of the Plica concept phone. At present, these are the only details available. Let’s wait for the magical product to arrive.

The charm of gadgets has blessed us with its wonderful technologies, and sometimes leave us rethink the fact that the creators of these gadgets are amongst us only.
