The Eco Friendly Gadgets
Gadgets have fused into our lives inevitably, in fact serving us their worth. But, do we even give a piece of time thinking about the how the gadgets that we hang around with affect our environment? The answer is a blatant no! Most of the gadgets used have widespread affects to the environment- after all everything comes with a cost! A cost much more than the maximum retail price!
Give credits to the years of research or the need of the hour due to rising petroleum prices and high risk concerns about global warming, the leading manufacturers to have now started coming up with greener products. Being eco friendly is the latest fad that’s hit on the world and it should rightly be too. After the launch of cars running on solar power, its now, the turn of mobile phones to go green.
Samsung came up with their new product the E200 eco that boasts of being more eco friendly than any other cell phone. With the launch of this product, Samsung has stood up true, to its claims of working hard to create more number of products that are as much as green as possible. Samsung also visions to proactively setup and expand to the better, a phone recycling system. So, what’s the gaga around E200 eco? This cell phone differs from its counterparts, right from the process of manufacturing. Usually, cell phones are built using polycarbonate plastics, which again is a petroleum based product. Needless to say, the recycling costs and production costs are higher, leave alone other environmental concerns. E200 comes as a refreshing change! It replaces polycarbonate plastics with bio-plastics! Yes, it’s built up of bio-plastics, which are made up of materials like corn, which are plant-based products. This cell phone that’s due to arrive in markets of Europe in September was displayed in an event that took place alongside the ongoing Olympics. The usage of this product will not just reduce the production of non renewable plastics; the manufacturing process involved reportedly reduces fuel consumption to a good extent and sizes down the carbon-di-oxide emissions by 35%.
Other eco friendly products too are creating waves around. Take for example, DLink’s Green Wi-Fi router that saves around 40% of the power usage. The gadgets those were always helpful and slowly rose up to being one of the necessity’s of life, by going green has turned responsible too!
